Badges for participation in UoB10DoT

Taking part in #UoB10DoT allows you to gain Open Badges that will credit your achievements. You can find out more about Open Badges here. They can be displayed on a variety of social media including LinkedIn, and on your CV, email signature etc.

Hatched

This badge is earned by breaking through and hatching into the Twitter world!

Earners:

  • set up their own Twitter profile
  • sent at least five tweets within four days of the UoB 10 Days of Twitter programme.

Flying

Earned by #UoB10DoT participants who are ‘Flying’ in their Twitter use.

They have:

  • set up their Twitter profile;
  • sent at least 5 tweets in 4 days of the programme;
  • followed at least 10 people;
  • sent at least 3 retweets;
  • sent at least 2 @messages;
  • and used a hashtag to contribute to a conversation.

Soaring

Earned by participants who are ‘Soaring’ in their Twitter use!

They have:

  • created and personalised their Twitter account;
  • sent at least 5 tweets in 4 days of the programme;
  • followed at least 10 people;
  • sent at least 3 retweets;
  • sent at least 2 @messages;
  • used a # to contribute to a conversation;
  • explored a tool for managing information on Twitter;
  • created a public Twitter list;
  • contributed to a Tweetchat or shared a Twitter archive.

The 10DoT Badges  are adapted from those issued by University of Sussex’s Technology Enhanced Learning Team, which were also  licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
