A mind map is a graphical way to represent ideas and concepts. It is a visual thinking tool that helps structuring information, helping you to better analyze, comprehend, synthesize, recall and generate new ideas. A mind map is often created around a single concept, drawn as an image in the center of a blank page, to which associated ideas such as images, words and parts of words are added. Use them for: project planning, storyboarding, evaluation, task lists etc. This is what a simple mind map looks like.

Infographics are a modern and visual way to display and share data, information and research outcomes as well as useful facts and figures. They are very easy to create and there a few free and simple tools to do this such as Piktochart. Here are some free templates to use in PowerPoint:
